Description
Tripp Lite's USB to Parallel Printer Cable (USB 1.1) provides the convenience of connecting a parallel device such as a printer to a computer through the USB port. Just plug it in and the driver installs automatically; no need for a software CD. Perfect for systems without a parallel port or when the existing parallel port is needed for another device. The 6-ft. cable features nickel-plated connectors and gold-plated copper contacts for superior conductivity. The cable is manufactured with molded connectors and integral strain relief for extra durability and long life. Double shielding provides maximum EMI/RFI protection. USB-A male to Cent36 male.

Using this cable on a PC with another Tripp Lite device (USB to serial) caused the other device to try to load up as a mouse instead of a serial port, even though the other device had a CD with its drivers on it, then were loaded onto the PC. There is some type of mutual interference between the two. Very poor.

We replaced a PC and the new one didn't have a parallel port. So we coupled the U206-006-R with a 25' USB extension cable so that the new PC could continue using the printer. Thanks, Tripp-Lite.
